Did you cut the underside of your Fiesta for easier access? It’s the only proper way to do an oil change.

Really? Hmm, I’d better try that out on my new S4.

No crush washer?

What’s the oil consumption like, and how often do you change it?

A part of me wishes the Fiesta ST had a sedan body...I love the hatches, but wish there was a larger/wider market.

I’ll be changing mine tomorrow. Can’t wait! Easiest thing on the planet in this pickup.

My oil filter can be a little tricky to get some leverage on, but I was so proud because today it didn’t give me any fuss. ^_^

I think I'm getting better at this. :)

Nope. No washer.

It takes 4.2 liters of synthetic oil. The manual says the interval should be every 10K miles, but I have NEVER waited that long. I change it every 5,000 miles or so. Any more than that and it just doesn’t feel right.

I’m changing mine tomorrow. I had to go to the dealer for oil though (ugh) because the parts stores didn’t have any LL-01 oil in stock.

What is the recommended OCI in that car? I’m curious

10,000 miles, according to the manual. But I have never waited that long. I change it every 5K.

Doing that next weekend. Will top off the blinker fluid then, too.

My automotive OCD prevents me from waiting the maximum time till the computer hits 0% so it gets changed 25-30% at about 6500miles.

And put in a dirty air filter. Less air goes in so less fuel will be added. Saves on gas.

....I was literally just asking why. Such as better oil analysis etc. No need to get all offensive.
